SPR# LSHR5RAM2P - Added Uppercase database extension support (.NSF) for the Windows and Linux platforms.

Technote Number: 1138253

Problem:
This issue was reported to Quality Engineering SPR# LSHR5RAM2, and has been
addressed in Domino Web Access 6.0.5 and 6.5.4.

Excerpt from the Lotus Notes and Domino Release 6.5.4 and 6.0.5 MR fix list
(available at http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/lotus/):

DOLS
SPR# LSHR5RAM2P - Added Uppercase database extension support (.NSF) for the
Windows and Linux platforms.

This issue occurs because the DOLS code is looking for lower-case '.nsf' files
when searching a field in the Off-line Configuration Document (OCD) in each
mail database. If the file name is "joeuser.NSF", the error displays. If you
try to 'Go Off-line' while the database is still named this way in the OCD, you
can download DOLS and sync, but the database size will be 0 MB.

Workaround for earlier releases:
1. Rename the problematic mail files with lower-case ".nsf"
2. Use the DOLS agent to remove the existing Off-line Configuration Document in
the affected mail files (steps outlined in document 7002838 linked to below).
3. Restart the server.
4. Any failed installations of the Lotus iNotes Sync Manager should be
uninstalled from client workstations.
5. Have the end user(s) edit the iNotes Web Access Preferences in the
browser, and reset their off-line preferences, and save.
6. Now users should be able to successfully go off-line.
